AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust was formed in 2001 from the Football in the Community, and continued a charitable working partnership with successful Premier League Club, AFC Bournemouth.
In total, the Trust delivers over 100 sessions a week, to a wide variety of children and adults of all ages and abilities within the local communities of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. The Trust’s success and popularity has seen branches open on the Isle of Wight, and in North Dorset, both of which are extremely popular within their own local communities.
The Trust’s staff are qualified in not only football, but a wide range of different sports which allows for the delivery of mutli-sports sessions, adapted to each age group. All of our sessions are adjusted to meet the needs and requirements of all members, whilst working towards our four main themes: Sports Participation, Health and Well-being, Education and Sports Inclusion.
In 2008, AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust gained Charitable Status (Charity Number: 112293). The Trust is a self-funding, non-profit organisation, which has a huge impact upon the local community through increasing individual’s involvement in sport.
To conclude, the combination of all these points have enabled AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust to become the number one deliverer of sport development across Dorset and Hampshire.
